Can I translate text in a GIF?
This tool accepts static, single-frame GIF images. Animated GIFs are not supported. To translate a caption from an animation, save a still frame as PNG or JPEG and upload that image. The result is a still image, not a translated animation.

Does image translation extract text or translate it?
